Goshen Listed As One of The Top 100 Places to Live!

Stephen Drezen, managing partner of Portfolio Properties in Goshen, said the town's appeal is in its bucolic beauty, scenic vistas and small-town atmosphere. Goshen is home to Woodridge Lake, the largest private lake in the state, but that's not the only draw to the community, he said.

"I don't think it's just Woodridge Lake, really," he said. "Goshen was obviously for many years a farming community, and over the years those farms were either purchased or selected to be protected by the state or the Goshen Land Trust, for preservation. ... Many people were brought here by friends and celebrities over the years ... it became popular by word of mouth. And it's known as the best-kept secret in Connecticut."

Relocate-America, a real estate industry Web site that provides information on consumers' favorite towns, recently released its lastest Top 100 Places to Live roster-and among the most desirable places in the nation is the tiny rural town of Goshen.

Goshen joined Old Saybrook and Rocky Hill as the top three towns in Connecticut sought out by customers on Relocate-America.com
